Seeking spirits in the Baker

Days after crews from the A&E program “Storage Wars: Texas” made a return visit to Mineral Wells, another cable network will spend much of the week filming downtown.

“Ghost Adventures,” the top-rated program on the Travel Channel, began filming Tuesday at the Baker Hotel.

According to Laird Fairchild, a principal at Hunter Chase Capital Partners, two crews are in town to record various components of the show.

Hunter Chase is the agency coordinating a planned revitalization project at the historic downtown hotel.

Fairchild said he is glad the network showed interest in the building and looks forward to the exposure the show will give the community.
I experienced the Baker Hotel back in 2003 with my ex boyfriend Trey as he was the reporter for the Mineral Wells index, We followed a ghost hunting crew along with some other people from the bottom floor to the top floor hunting for ghosts, I personally did not experience any "Ghosts" but we had alot of fun watching the hunters seek out the "dead spirits" from beyond. The Baker Hotel closed down for along time to any tourists or ghost seekers but recently started hosting "tours" for people wanting to spend ten dollars to walk the halls of the Baker. Now the Travel channel's Ghost Adventure crew is there looking for the paranormal. What do y'all think, do you think any Ghosts will be found??
